J TROPIC could teach us a thing or two, with his musical project's title perfectly capturing the producer's soulful tropical tinged house - which finds itself on full display in the Brighton native's debut EP Love Up.
Love Up is a tantalising taste of the producer's knack for creating uplifting dance tracks with infectious pop hooks. Lush synths and retro disco beats, paired with the 90s r'n'b tone of a mysterious female vocalist, generates nostalgia-inducing smooth jams that seem perfect for a summer dance party.
Stand out track Who U are delivers crisp, fresh beats, alongside an electronic chorus crescendo that's got me dancing wildly in my bedroom.
It's an exciting debut that shows definite promise from this up and coming producer.
