For most Australian based DJs and Electronic producers, getting a mix on Triple J's weekly Mix Up Exclusives is a big step in the right direction. What is better for promotion than getting a slot that has been seen mixes from people like The Bloody Beetroots, Ryan Hemsworth, Yuksek and a heap more? It's pretty much the Australian version of BBC 1's Diplo & Friends.
The latest of the upcoming local talent to find themselves filling an exclusive one hour mix are our favourite homies, INDIAN SUMMER. It seems that this is just another notch on their respective belts, as they continue to absolutely smash it on a national scale.
Originally aired on the 21st of July, the mix has finally found itself streaming over on the duo's Soundcloud. This now comes on the back of a massive set at Splendour In The Grass, as well as the concluding section of their insanely long Foreign Formula National Tour.
The mix itself is really just a huge party mixtape, every track chosen seems to build the energy on the last one and in the whole hour, you barely have a second to relax before the next drop. In saying that, there is plenty of variety in the tracklisting too, there are some beatsy tracks, some hip-hop groove laden remixes, some classic bangers - and of course heaaaps of Indian Summer related material. Almost everything the guys have done in the last year in crammed in there somewhere. It's all very impressively mixed together too.
