INDIAN SUMMER bring us their Foreign Formula EP, and it's another brilliant two track release - packed to the brim with bright and bubbly electronic creations.
The lead single and title track, 'Foreign Formula', really takes everything that is booming in the bass scene currently and brings it to the forefront of the track. As expected, bass heavy beats are the mainstay of the sound, but there are genuine elements of R&B, as well as dance driven samples. It's future bass at 90bpm and seems to channel the funked out style of Eats Everything and Justin Martin.
You may remember the B-Side, 'Grand Rapids', from a recent mixtape the duo put together, but just in case you haven't had a chance to check it out. It's bringing back those elements you all love from your days getting super drunk and dancing around to electro house, but once again keeps that little bit of R&B influence.

The Foreign Formula EP comes on the back of the No Use EP, which received some massive praise from some of the biggest names in the critic world. Including being 'Catch Of The Day' for Triple J's Zan Rowe. And we have a feeling this bad boy will be picking up the same kind of love very soon.
The new EP definitely shows the diverse range of genres Indian Summer are covering with each track they throw online, all whilst bringing their own defining features and touches to the scenes themselves. They are one to look out for in the future, as there is a very good chance they'll be one of the biggest production duo's the country has. They're just biding their time and waiting for the opportunity to pounce. In the meantime, get ready for a party or two.
Indian Summer have only just began their national dates in support of the Foreign Formula EP (including a slot at this year's Splendour In The Grass). You can grab the EP digitally now via Sweat It Out! - and then catch the guys live in your hometown over the coming month.
