2019's been a year of high highs for HAIKU HANDS. The trio have fast become known for some of the punchiest hooks and eclectic production you've potentially not ever seen before in pop music. They're ready to jet out on their debut headline tour, they've just recently been announced as part of Groovin' The Moo's national tour lineup and also been included in NME's 100: Essential new artists of 2019.
To celebrate this absolute whirlwind of a couple of months, the gals have dropped a monster new number in the form of 'Dare You Not To Dance'.
It's one that's become well known in their live set to whip the crowd into a bit of a frenzy. There's that familiar Haiku Hands chant over the instrumental that 'dares you not to dance,' but this one's gotta be the heaviest track we've seen from them to date.

Opening with a ditty synth number, the vocals coming in set the anticipation for what's to come. What kicks off as something quite minimal eventuates into this mammoth dancehall number teeming with wonky flutes, sparce hi-hats and a big shout of the word 'fuckers' in there too.
Of the track, the trio have said "One nonchalantly mutters “I dare you not to dance fucker’s” into a microphone in Sydney and another makes it a hook in a rowdy jam session in Melbourne. This song is an outcome of exploration between Haiku Hands, Joel Ma (Joelistics) and Angus Stuart (El’ Gusto). A bold manoeuvre made to taunt, provoke and defy."
