Sydney-based trio THE GOODS is back with a funky new tune, 'Glow', that will have you getting your boogie on in no time, marking a new era for the band both sonically and professionally.
'Glow' is an homage to all things disco and features aural cues, like clapping, a groovy bass line and a hi-hat beat, that conjure images of mustard yellow flared pants and big hair. However, The Goods have put their own contemporary spin on things with slick vocals and production. The momentum of the song carries the listener along with the party, rising and falling in all the right places.
Consisting of Badmandela, Rosario and now Black Tree, The Goods burst onto the scene in 2016 with the release of their self-titled EP. 'Glow' is the band's first single after signing with Niche Productions, the booking agency behind acts like Winston Surfshirt, REMI, Hiatus Kaiyote and Slum Sociable, and will feature on their forthcoming EP, Make Your Move.
The funk-soul-pop trio are impossible to pin down when it comes to genre, but have drawn comparisons to Outkast and Gorillaz thanks to their out of this world party vibe and laid-back attitude. Only time will tell where they're headed, but we're predicting good things for The Goods.
