Electronic duo from Melbourne, GODWOLF, have delivered a fresh track called ‘Resist’ and it has been worth the wait. Godwolf have been releasing songs sporadically for the last couple of years and while there have been a couple of single releases, we have yet to see a full-length album from these guys. Hopefully this latest release suggests there is something more in the works.

‘Resist’ is an upbeat, but soulful track with an air of nostalgia to it, evident in lyrics like, “if I leave, please don’t follow, I’m gonna find my own way home.” Godwolf’s music has always been unassuming and honest and they are continuing on this trend with their new single.

While they are predominantly electronica, they seem to have folk influences, especially in terms of the vocal and singing style, and perhaps this is what makes them seem a bit more down-to-earth than the average electro duo. They appear less concerned with the bells and whistles of music production and more interested in creating warm, honest, contemplative tracks that are deeply reflective and, ultimately, a pleasure to listen to.

So to quote Godwolf’s own lyrics – “you can try to resist” listening to this new single, but you know you don’t want to. Have a listen.
