We're definitely fans of a good chorus here at Purple Sneakers. We think FRANCES must be too, because not only is she incredible at writing an infectious lyric, but her melodies are tight and so much fun.
She teamed up with Howard of Disclosure to write this one, and the result is some of the smoothest and most sophisticated pop you'll hear in a while.
The UK songstress' new one is teeming with impressive pop sensibilities; repetitive chord progressions, a killer instrumental hook and however what really separates this, is the way her vocals sit absolutely perfectly with the vibe of the track.
It's bubbly yet sophisticated, and I think that's why this one really stands out for me. It's pop for adults, but you don't need to take yourself too seriously to enjoy it.
Frances is onto something big. And if the brightness of her incredibly well tempered vocals or the authentic vibe her sound gives off are any indication as to where her sound is heading, it's going to be a big ride for this musician.
