Live Review: LISTEN: Flight Facilities 'Stand Still' ft. Micky Green (Slow Magic Remix)

FLIGHT FACILITIES are one of the most popular electronic duos in Australia, with many fans most likely remembering their fun Triple J Mix Up Exclusives and live sets on the recent NINA LAS VEGAS' House Party Tour as well as their very own headline tour back in 2011.

'Stand Still' is one of the duo's standout tracks; with an upbeat melody, a sweet whistle carrying things along and MICKY GREEN's light vocals adding a relaxed feeling.

After the track emerged in November 2013, FLIGHT FACILITIES have had a series of remixes of 'Stand Still' flooding in with the latest remix being produced by SLOW MAGIC. The enigmatic artist has taken 'Stand Still' and pushed it into his own magical territory whilst still keeping some sweet aspects of the original track in tact.

The synths carry the track with a steady beat thumping beneath it of which sounds on slightly quicker than the original FLIGHT FACILITIES mix and with light percussion making appearances here and there, SLOW MAGIC's remix becomes a magical video game that keeps true to the original whist also adding in it's own edge.
