Live Review: LISTEN: Flight Facilities 'Clair De Lune' (Motez Remix)

Adelaide producer Motez has shown us his interpretation of Flight Facilities' 'Clair De Lune' through his remix of the track.

Around this time last year, Sydney boys FLIGHT FACILITIES exhaled the beautiful 'Clair De Lune' featuring the breathtaking vocals of Christine Hoberg. We've stumbled across this gem by MOTEZ, who has crafted a delightful rendition.

The Adelaide producer has managed to maintain most of the song's moodiness, as well as incorporated his own sound. The initial record crackle remains in order, as does the low, gentle hum, however the introduction allows room for a few additional elements to complement the original patterns.

As you listen on, you'll become more aware of these new sounds as the beat grows thicker and the percussion has been granted a larger role. As the song escalates, it reaches an epiphany right in the middle, causing a lyric spill and greater presence of accents. This is how the remainder of Motez's interpretation plays on, finally hitting that level where he can finally call it his own.

By the end of the song, you still feel like your cruising in a car just as Flight Facilities' video clip exhibits, though instead of escaping a crime, you're simply enjoying the ride.

Words by Hannah Galvin.
