Debut single's are always a point of excitement, particularly when the artist in question is particularly enigmatic. And you could say that this is more than the case of DRONES CLUB; a rather unorthodox new collective.
If you're fans of the cultural significance of artists like Spiritualized, you would be really into Drones Club. Their music is largely focused on the theories of people like Adam Curtis, and they delve into the idea that humanity has ultimately been numbed by modern structures of control.
It's a cool concept piece with an even heftier experiential element to support the production. And their debut single 'Soul Of A Spaceman' combines elements of their cultural beliefs and some of their musical influences too.
The track itself could be described as space-disco; it's airy, light hearted and incredibly catchy. The vocals pair so aptly with the production, and I think the style they're going for definitely works well with the vibe the group gives off.

It's always cool to hear about new artists thinking outside of the box, and if this debut single from London's Drones Club is anything to go by, I'm super excited to hear what the group has in store for us.
