It's been a while, but we're stoked to be finally hearing some new material out of DEEP SEA ARCADE's camp. 'Black Cat' is the new one, and it's the first taste we have of their sophomore LP.
The now expats have been holed up in UK for the last year or so, as they put together the upcoming album, which is set for an early 2014 release. And it seems they're heading down a psych influenced Pop road. 'Black Cat' doesn't seem to depart from their previous 60's styled jangly anthems that filled their debut LP, Outlands. But it's definitely not a bad theme to have running through the new stuff either, as there isn't much of it going around in 2013. Especially in Australia.
Recorded and mixed by Dan Grech-Margueray (Lana Del Rey, The Vaccines), ‘Black Cat’ is the first taste of the new Deep Sea Arcade, and to celebrate - they'll be heading out for a couple of welcome home/single launch shows across Australia over the September and October months.

Coming in at 2 minutes and 45 seconds, 'Black Cat' definitely feels like a teaser of bigger and better things. But with a insanely catchy guitar hook and brilliantly light vocals from Nic McKenzie, it's a track you'll be throwing on repeat for the next couple of weeks easily.
