Nu-disco producer, GIGAMESH has previously dropped big remixes of RADIOHEAD’S ‘Everything in its right place’ and FOSTER THE PEOPLE’s ‘Pumped Up Kicks’ and now he’s back to steal the show with ‘You & I’, the catchy new tune from half British, half Spanish folktronic band, CRYSTAL FIGHTERS.
GIGAMESH's remixes continue to keep us on our feet (with a sort of Chromeo vibe going on) and transforms the original happy sunshine guitar riffs by adding funky synth pop, disco and head boppin' bass. We dare you to try and stand still!
Although the track is slightly on the longer side, the upbeat tempo makes it easy to overlook and ride the 6-minute of hard-hitting synth and 4/4 bass beat wave.
After having said all this, head over to iTunes to pre-order ‘Cave Rave’, due out on Atlantic Records on the 28th of May. GIGAMESH will be joining CRYSTAL FIGHTERS on many stops of their US tour (if any of y’all are planning a trip to the US around early June then get on this!) plus you can download the track for free on Soundcloud!
