Arguably the world's coolest electro-funk duo out right now, which hails from both Montreal and New York, is putting out some serious work in the lead up to their much anticipated upcoming album entitled 'White Women'. I am of course talking about the dynamic duo which is known the world over as the great CHROMEO.
Returning with their staple electrocool sound drenched in keen throwback P-Funk style, the CHROMEO boys have released their latest tune entitled 'Come Alive' feat. the grandaddy of chillwave, TORO Y MOI.
You can hear both TORO Y MOI's unmistakable vocal style shine through as backing vocals throughout the track, as well as an owning an obvious slice of the production value of the tune.
The production is a dense and uptempo helping of white hot synths, disco guitars, crackling slap bass and crisp drums. Everything runs together seamlessly, with layer upon layer on interweaving sound and texture.
