Finally Returning To Australia, Faithless Are Paying Homage To The Beloved Maxi Jazz While Looking To The Future

Live Review: LISTEN: Chet Faker ft. Kilo Kish 'Melt'

Chet Faker has teamed up with American vocalist Kilo Kish for his new track 'Melt'.

The fine CHET FAKER has just pushed out his new track 'Melt'; featuring the vocals of New York lady KILO KISH. If you've been searching for a tune to truly grasp you with its entire delivery, you've come to the right place.

Remember when you were little, and you made that miniature guitar out of a tissue box and elastic bands? Well Chet has reimagined that plucked elastic twang in 'Melt' with his very simplistic synth line. Mind you, it's tasteful, and interacts with 'Melt's palette swimmingly.

The idiosyncratic riff is melded with a heap of rhythms, samples and instruments. Whether it be the hand claps against the keyboard or the ticking working with the beat, 'Melt' has come out sounding very intricate and smooth as a result of being handled in such a tender way.

Acknowledge both Chet Faker and Kilo Kish's vocals and suddenly you have the very sensual cherry on top to quite a sophisticated tune.

As we wait for his debut album to drop, we're happy enough to know that Chet Faker will be playing this years Falls Festival. If 'Melt' is anything to go by, we're sure to be pretty spoilt with what the dude has in store for us!
