Over the past two years or so, Spanish DJ and producer JOHN TALABOT has delivered some outstanding remixes for artists such as THE XX, TEENGIRL FANTASY & JOAKIM. On this occasion, he has decided to collaborate with PIONAL on a remix of CHAIRLIFT’S ‘I Belong In Your Arms’.
After the first listen, I immediately thought of this song as a cover rather than a remix, which is always quite special. By adding a chilled piano line and stripping back the pop vocals, JOHN TALABOT & PIONAL have managed to create a track that sounds completely unique, while keeping important traces of the original.
This remix will be included on a special 12” which will be released on October 29 through the Young Turks record label.
