Young Hunger, the debut LP of UK electronic genius CHAD VALLEY is due for release on November 18 and the second single from the album has been released with the vocal stylings of American songman TWIN SHADOW. Both artists are loved by music fans everywhere so it’s only natural that they would end up collaborating eventually, but this soon? We must blessed!
Opening with a soft beat and deep synths, CHAD VALLEY creates a scene in your head that resembles a moonlight night where TWIN SHADOW is lovingly serenading you under the moonlight. This mood lingers on the track until vocals are layered and a sudden pause brings in beautiful synths to overlap the others to create a dreamy chorus. ‘I Owe You This’ sounds like all of your happiest moments being put in a jar and covered in fairy dust.
TWIN SHADOW’s vocals are an emotional story gliding through the synths that carry this track along. CHAD VALLEY and TWIN SHADOW are the perfect pair, and together they’ve created something beautiful.
CHAD VALLEY is embarking on a massive tour beginning in the United States and then flying over to the United Kingdom to support PASSION PIT and play numerous headline shows, whilst TWIN SHADOW is wrapping up his Ton Up Tour in Los Angeles. Although both artists are individually amazing, ‘I Owe You This’ will always be adored, if not by musos everywhere, at least by me.
