Sydney two piece, BLY, are a self-proclaimed "electro-soul" duo. After the release of their debut single, 'Rosey', we can only agree with them, for this tune is sure to resonate with you emotionally.
The swish movement of a soaring sail plummets into the space, filtering into the comfort of a deep and gentle melody flirting with a soft, balanced beat. Constructing extra layers as this short tune progresses, it's soon adorned by the dwindling lyricism to set up the bittersweet mood that is, 'Rosey'. Incorporating clever techniques that chop and skew each chorus, as well as the brief visits from short-lived percussive bodies walking in and out throughout, BLY's first single is an impressively strong introduction to what is sure to be an aesthetically pleasing debut EP.
