Live Review: Blonde 'Higher Ground' ft. Charli Taft

Prepare to get nostalgic for warm nights spent poolside and sweaty dance floor sessions as Blonde hit us with their newest sunny track 'Higher Ground'.

'Higher Ground' is the newest offering from electronic duo BLONDE, which features the heavenly vocal talents of CHARLI TAFT.

You may find yourself resisting the urge to jump on a plane to somewhere where sunshine is in excess after listening to this track, you have been warned. 'Higher Ground' is undoubtedly a summer anthem, fit for listening to poolside sipping multiple rounds of fruity cocktails.

Although in some parts of the world summer is a distant memory, that doesn't mean it isn't worth a listen. If this track can't lift your spirits, yes those same spirits that have been crushed by winter's cruel grip, then I don't know what will.

The Bristol based duo have released the single ahead of their EP of the same name which is expected in early August. Scoping out Liverpool artist CHARLI TAFT for the vocals was a good move by BLONDE,  her gentle, airy voice floats along the top of the bouncing beats without being swallowed up by them. Plenty of sunshine synths and house vibes fill out this track which will do its best to transport you somewhere you'd much rather be.
