Australian artist BENTLE is back with his second single for 2020 this week in 'ABOUT YOU (ABOUT ME)'. Premiering today on Purple Sneakers, 'ABOUT YOU (ABOUT ME)' is downtempo, RnB-infused electronic pop cut which builds on the already promising foundations he laid back in March with 'SCREEN', and solidifies his position as an artist worth keeping on your radar.
As BENTLE describes, “ABOUT YOU (ABOUT ME) is like a voice memo to myself reminding me how we’re often quick to notice the most insecure parts of ourselves in others, when instead we should be much more gentle and aware. Gently embracing those parts of ourselves and letting others love us in our entirety."
Featuring wavy synths, rolling bass and silky smooth vocals courtesy of BENTLE, this song is an intimate affair with personal and vulnerable lyrics detailing the often unnoticed intricacies of human connection. It's a glowing slice of indie pop, complete with electronic roots to keep the project firmly facing towards the future, and with the addition of reflective and introspective lyrics, it's also a total winner. 'ABOUT YOU (ABOUT ME)' is an impressive evolution for him, and one that has us eagerly anticipating what he might do next.
