ASH KOOSHA is an Iranian born, London living, multi-talented composer of the sonic persuasion. His music is unusual, futuristic, and captivating. His latest track, ‘Mudafossil’, offers up something that combines oriental feels with sonic distortions in an intricately beautiful way.
Ash Koosha found himself seeking asylum in the UK after his music landed him in jail in his native Iran. His music warps your sense of reality, and takes you to another mental dimension.
Tracks such as ‘Mudafossil’ are crafted from Ash Koosha’s own field recordings, and he treats each sample as a physical entity, stretching and squishing each and every one of them within an inch of their life. In his spare time he is also a singer and film director. So basically he oozes creative talent in a way many only dream of.

‘Mudafossil’ draws on Ash Koosha’s background in classical music, from both Western and Persian cultures. His upcoming album, I AKA I, will also draw on these same inspirations, with each track taking you on a different, sonic direction.
