Ara Koufax have released 'Brenda', their contribution single to Cut Copy's Oceans Apart mixtape.

Remember when CUT COPY celebrated the music scene of their hometown by creating a mixtape full of it's best upcoming talent? We do too and we've been listening to it on repeat since it came out.

CUT COPY's Oceans Apart mixtape was a collection of tracks dedicated to their native Melbourne and the new artists that are currently taking it's music scene by storm including a duo called ARA KOUFAX.

ARA KOUFAX may seem pretty familiar to you in their photographs and that's basically because it's NAYSAYER & GILSUN's latest project. The duo began ARA KOUFAX after creating new material in a beach house and after releasing their first track under their new name, 'Converge', the duo kind of slipped away into the shadows. CUT COPY released a track called 'Brenda' that ARA KOUFAX created on Oceans Apart.

The track was originally only going to stay on the mixtape but Sam Gill and Luke Neher decided that we should all be able to enjoy 'Brenda' as a single as well as on the mixtape.

'Brenda' is an electronic splendour with hollow synths that bounce alongside a snappy snare. ARA KOUFAX's work sounds a lot more disco-infused than NAYSAYER & GILSUN's releases and that element really stands out on 'Brenda'. A warped synth makes its way into the mix further ahead in the track and soon 'Brenda' becomes one of the most unique tracks that you'll be hearing today.
