'It's All Faintly Ridiculous': Pond Wade Through Dissatisfaction For Hope On 'Terrestrials'

Live Review: LISTEN: Alpine 'Gasoline'

Alpine have a new single that sounds like sighing fairies... Or something... LISTEN.

The infectious sounds of ALPINE are as fresh as ever on the latest single 'Gasoline'. It's pretty easy to hear how this quirky Melbourne outfit got the support slot on Matt Corby's most recent national tour.Just like singles 'Hands' and 'Villages' before it, 'Gasoline' is a slick slice of synthesised indie-pop, splintered with cute, honeyed vibes. The girls' liquid harmonies are seamlessly layered into a collective ethereal sigh.

Alpine are just as well-oiled and attractive live, so with the upcoming August release of their debut LP A Is For Alpine, the indie world is their oyster.
