She's headed back to the Midwest after giving the Golden State her all, but regrets are minimal on this cracking album. She couples a natural ease and clarity in writing with a sound of modern Americana. The title track builds, adding vocals and sonic layers as she nonchalantly assures us, "I'll be fine, fine." Daughters is no-BS girl power and guitars. Ojai is a nostalgic closer. Albums on this theme have been made before, but here is a refreshing and liberating update.
