"A short but sweet EP that bodes nicely for that overdue second album."
The music of these Wolverhampton house-meisters could be described as intelligent-ish dance music — there's plenty of studio nous and trickery going on, but you certainly don't need a degree to dance to it.
Leading the way, Rayon is disarmingly simple but with enough little touches and gently tweaked filters to maintain effective dancefloor infectiousness. The broody Without You is equally convincing, with layered vocals that compete and combine in enticingly different ways, making for a short but sweet EP that bodes nicely for that overdue second album.
