Album Review: Leonard Cohen - Live In Dublin

It’s often difficult to discuss Leonard Cohen in any way that seems appropriate and meaningful.

Mere words seem to fall short of what needs to be said, especially when the man himself has such a way with them. Cohen’s latest release, recordings of his performance at the O2 Arena, is not simply restricted to words however, with a classy, understated yet incredibly sophisticated backing band providing a solid basis for Cohen’s warm, potent and gravelly baritone. Paired with the captivated silences of the O2 audience, it’s easy to forget that it’s a live record.
