"...crisp production and musicianship ensure a good listen."
Sydney reggae collective Kinsky (not to be confused with American grunge revivalists Kinski) return with a new EP and it's not bad.
Lead single I Am The Mountain lopes in and gets comfortable real quick. It's surprisingly melancholy, and sets a tone that the rest of the EP fixates on. Po-Gangstas opens with Ernie Garland moaning about headlights in his window at night that deny him sleep. His worries culminate in the dreamy echo chamber trippy-ness of Mountain Dub, where we finally get a sense of peace. It's a full EP with a lot on its mind, and its crisp production and musicianship ensure a good listen.
