Despite its 17 tracks, there's very little here that Blake hasn't tried before. There are tracks where everything falls together in wonderful and unexpected ways such as the lead single Modern Soul and the indescribably affecting Always, but also many meandering or forgettable pieces littered throughout a directionless middle half that's disappointingly subdued.
