Album Review: Hoy - Aqualsum

Hoy have definitely stuck to their trademark indie pop/roots style throughout each of these nine tracks, but overall, the whole album is quite bland. Tell The Moon has a nice melody, but the lyrics might prove hard to understand on first listen and though Get Some Sleep is stand-out with its perfect harmonies shining through in the vocals, the rest of the album simply lacks any variety. Aquaslum is fairly average debut, but there is always potential for Hoy to improve on their next release.
