Album Review: Hideous Sun Demon - Sweat

Hideous Sun Demon’s debut full-length effort builds on their status as one of the most exciting new bands in Perth. These ten tracks capture the ferocious energy the band bring to the stage, which is no mean feat. The guitar riffs are surging and fast, and the seemingly constant cymbal smashing in the drums department just adds to the chaos. The highlight across the record is definitely Vin Buchanan-Simpson’s vocal delivery – the animation in his voice is a rare find, making for a wonderfully theatrical punk rock record.
