Interesting narratives and honest story telling

“That song was pretty damn country for Fortitude Valley”, laughs Harmony James before launching into another number that transports the crowd at Press Club back to the wide-open outback skies.

The songstress (accompanied by double bass and a blistering lead guitarist) is successfully weaving her way through a set full of well-arranged and organic songs, which are all built off interesting narratives and honest story telling. After seeing (and enjoying) numerous indie/electro bands over the last two days, siting down and seeing some good ol’ fashion country is a surprisingly refreshing and satisfying change
