Hannah GadsbyThis is one very well thought-out and clever comedy performance, based entirely on the selfie and how we all manufacture our public image. Running throughout is the self-deprecating humour she's famous for. Gadsby manages to seamlessly take the audience through the history of the selfie with a gallery of paintings; like a university lecturer, she analyses, using her laser pointer, how ridiculous all selfies are.
Watch out for a crowd-pleasing parallel drawn between Vladimir Putin and Justin Bieber. Her ending is probably the best I've ever seen in a performance – pure magic.
