Album Review: Guantanomo Baywatch - Darling... It's Too Late

StarStarStar

"Fans will be delighted by this light-hearted musical foray"

More Guantanamo Baywatch Guantanamo Baywatch

Darling… It’s Too Late is a collection of terrifically jangly surf-rock songs.

The high-speed pace of Raunch Stomp and the jammed-out progression of Corey Baum’s Theme are both high points in the first half of the record. Mr. Rebel moves at a breakneck pace with the pick twinkling across the guitar strings in a lullaby haze. There’s a tiny bit of repetition in this record that would render it a little hard to endure for those not keen on the genre, though fans will be delighted by this light-hearted musical foray.
