GrenadiersSummer is a punchy and energetic record, which jumps between the party punk vibes of the title track, the surging guitar riffs on Handfuls Of Dirt and the slower, stoner stylings of Nothing On.
Lyrically, the band are on form too, taking aim at the trials and tribulations of modern lifestyle (“Weekdays at the factory/Soul-crushing drudgery” in Factotum); however, Wishbone takes a pretty good stab at religious justification in healthcare. It's been five years since these Adelaide punks unleashed their first album upon the world, and the wait for this second effort has most certainly been worth it.
