Greg Nunan hits the road running with a tight blues outfit and a load of new songs that sound like they have been well and truly roadtested.
Playing a dirty style of rhythm guitar Nunan's strength lies in his lyrics which are nicely interplayed between guitar jams. Songs like Big Ben take something from The Black Keys and White Stripes who create a massive sound out of a minimal line-up. Tequila is one of the better moments combining his talents with some simple strokes of guitar madness. Nunan gets down and folky on Jacqueline Sweetie, a track that would sound perfect in a festival tent over summer. Nunan opens his blues account with some serious numbers.
