Currently averaging one new album every 1.8 years for the last four decades, Gary Numan's evolution from icy humanoid to gothic nomad continues to hypnotise.

Savage's central concept of an environmentally broken, socially chaotic global crisis fuels some of his most urgent and connectable songs in years. Bed Of Thorns (an evolved version from the one heard on this year's Ghost In The Shell soundtrack) and My Name Is Ruin possess thunderous choruses while Broken and Mercy's massive IMAX anguish is stacked high with his well-documented love affair with Nine Inch Nails' '90s murkiness. As compelling as he's ever been.
