This is what sideshow is when it’s done well. El Bizarro took the little sister of circus and gave it a creepy touch – the perfect combination.
With acts for all tastes within the sideshow realm: a contortionist with seemingly no spine able to sit on her own head, a slapstick male strip, properly bizarre body modification, burlesque stripteases and more. A particular highlight was the closing act, a fire-twirling (I won’t say too much more), sexy-as-hell burlesque dancer. If you see one sideshow this Perth Fringe, make it El Bizarro.
