After the release of FOALS' new single 'My Number' has gone gangbusters in Australia, UK producer and DJ Orlando Higginbottom - better known as TOTALLY ENORMOUS EXTINCT DINOSAURS - has found time to put out a super chilled out remix of the tune.
The remix totally strips back the original poppy anthem, to an electronic synth beat almost unrecogniseable from the original until over halfway into the song when the drop comes in. The track floats along in this progressive house groove but never really peaks into anything huge. It's the sort of track that will either really get you going, or put you to sleep - depending on your mood.
But hey, you'd be a doofus not to hear it for yourself! Take a listen and see what you reckon.
Foals are set to release their new album Holy Fire in February, and whilst I'm seriously looking forward to giving it a good listen, I'd love to hear some of the other remixes that producers can offer us.
