Every week, Sydney institution FBi Radio chooses a different independent artist to be featured as their Independent Artist of the Week. Previously featuring the likes of Low Flung, Imbi The Girl, Mango and more, it's a great way for the station to spotlight those working hard and killing the game.
They've recently teamed up with Young Henrys for a new video series they'll be running monthly called Independent Play. The video will feature a live performance and interview with a previous IAOTW.
The first cab off the rank is Bowraville hip-hop artist, Tasman Keith who has been hard at working building on the legacy of his father, the trailblazing indigenous MC Wire. He uses hip-hop as a way to continue sharing the stories and traditions of his community, giving a voice to them.
