Opening track, New Heavy, pairs frontwoman Sophie Wiegele’s delicately enchanting vocals with distortion-heavy guitar riffs – a combination that looks strange on paper but works brilliantly. Bop-worthy tune, Shaky Fingers features some killer work by drummer Tyler Ray Michie, while Guidelines To English adopts a softer sound, building up to a crescendo that’ll leave you dumbfounded. This EP has an undeniable charm you simply won’t find anywhere else.
