"the work of a master craftsman, who remains unafraid of striving for something new"

More Ed Kuepper More Ed Kuepper

Other than his recent sidetrack into soundtracks, this is Ed Kuepper's first collection of new songs in some time.

Perhaps the film work has led him to play with atmospheres and spaces in his music. A completely 'solo' album, the guitar shimmers with that sound that seemingly no one else can achieve, while on songs such as the stately dance of Pavane — a compelling thing you will play on repeat — his half-spoken words are typically sardonic and reflective. Elsewhere, like the slightly twitchier Queen Of The Vale (That's V.A.L.E), electronic pulses drift by to reinforce the mood. It's the work of a master craftsman, who remains unafraid of striving for something new in his creations.
