Indeed, Do You Speak Chinese? is filigree fine in its gorgeous detail and understated elegance. There is a rigour and a passion to this work, a musicality and artistry that draws you into its allusions of culture, identity and femininity. Victoria Chiu and Kristina Chan execute this work with sensual control, and the paper art of Benja Harney and the exquisite live guzheng of Mindy Meng Wang add both grace and beautifully relevant Chinese cultural touch points.
