Sydney producer Kilter remixes a track from London production crew Disciples.

Sydney boy KILTER has just released a stellar remix to a new track from a London based production group. About a month or so ago, DISCIPLES put out 'Poison Arrow' that showed a bassy, house vibe weaving through it, and some unmistakeable r'n'b vocal influences. It's a track that sounds very British in its composition.

KILTER breathed another layer of life into the track, starting with a bouncy synth riff, resembling something that very much makes up that 'Australian' sound that everyone's talking about. It's a sound that runs right through the track, as if Kilter is marking his territory on this track with his own trademark sounds.

But what really stands out on this track is the way KILTER plays with the layers in the track to such a great effect. He makes a point of building them up so deftly, and then sweeping them from beneath your feet - leaving you all alone with that voice that breathes so much smoothness in character.

KILTER himself admitted that he went a bit housier on this track, and that's definitely evident as it cruises through the chorus with a surging beat and some strong synthpop melodies, at times reminiscent of BAG RAIDERS. But Kilter has always been a great remixer, and it's great to see that he's getting traction on the international stage, because he's without a doubt one of our strongest exports yet.
