"There’s just too much to dig here"

More Dewolff More Dewolff

Dutch trio DeWolff fill the holes between releases from local counterparts Wolfmother with their organ-driven psychedelic blues-rock, and arguably more ably than Stockdale and co in terms of the album treatment itself. Grand Southern Electric is their fifth and, rather than release the odd punchy, riff-laden single here and there, DeWolff take non-single tracks Evil Mothergrabber and Restless Man and inject their zany lines, drawn-out jams and time changes. Ride With You sees vocalist Pablo van de Poel step up the acoustic gypsy wanderer in him for the album highlight. There's just too much to dig here.
