"Quirk is a comic with a great sense of timing and structure, and an eye for the absurd and uncomfortable."
We cannot stress enough how helpful it is to have a comedy setlist in front of you as you write a review — yes, David Quirk gave us a setlist, a setlist than in itself is very funny.
Opening the night with darkness, literal, figurative, like the long forgotten comedy albums of yore, Quirk kicked into a series of stories that were at times sad, crude and thoughtful, but always bloody funny. His use of callbacks in the second half prove to us that Quirk is a comic with a great sense of timing and structure, and an eye for the absurd and uncomfortable, particularly when he returns to 100 Headaches, and speaks about a self-published book entitled Death: The Ultimate Orgasm?
David Quirk deserves all the bursts of laughter he gets.
