It was difficult to know when Dave Hughes had actually started his stand-up show.
Such was his relaxed delivery it was as if he were chatting with mates at the pub. While there was a lot of initial banter with audience latecomers he wandered with ease into topics as if at random. Thoughts and yarns about hipsters, surfers and celebrity chefs all got a mention but the theme he kept coming back to was his family, whether his young kids’ attitudes or the nitty gritty with his wife.
