Album Review: Colin Hay - Next Year People

You can spot his distinctive brogue a mile off and, as always, on Next Year People, it sits beautifully on these delightful tracks.

Hay of course was the frontman of Men At Work and has since also dabbled in acting, but has mostly been a solo raconteur touring the globe annually. From tales of love to character assassinations covered lightly with superb melodies, highlights on this album include the subtle, touching Did You Take The Long Way Home and the simple yet effective I Want You Back, the title track rounding off a great album.
