"Choke Chains have delivered an album that is unrelenting and rough as hell."

Michigan miscreants Choke Chains have delivered an album that is unrelenting and rough as hell.

They pull no punches — song titles like Let's Try Suicide and Rock Paper Rapist are designed to confront, while the band aesthetic itself is equally abrasive, bristling with punk mayhem. It's an intense yet tightly coiled listen (with members from The Dirtbombs and No Bails, you should expect no less), and opener Safe Word perfectly balances bluesy part-rock with hardened gutter punk.
