With his third record in two years, Cass McCombs is making up for lost time with Big Wheel And Others, a staggering 22-song double LP which explores in parts a more simplistic style in line with his earlier work, however, the eight-odd minute Everything Has To Be Just So is reminiscent of his recent output, namely Wit's End

All in all this is a solid release by a man who has been debatably trying his luck by not allowing his releases time to mature, and is a record that fans will lap up and cherish.
