"Veggies is a good rapper, but his voice is too mild for the braggadocio and sex talk that dominate many of the tracks."

More Casey Veggies More Casey Veggies

Live & Grow is the debut album from Casey Veggies, an original member of hip-hop collective Odd Future. Despite the title and cover art, which give off a soulful vibe, this album has a tougher edge to it.

Veggies is a good rapper, but his voice is too mild for the braggadocio and sex talk that dominate many of the tracks, with the result that Veggies frequently gets upstaged by guest features. But production from Tyler, The Creator, DJ Mustard and others more than make up for it. Tied Up, with a hook from DeJ Loaf, could have even been a major hit if the lyrics weren't so profane.
