You can't not like 29-year-old Sydney-via-Newcastle comic Cameron James. He's a warm and easygoing comic with carefully crafted stories up his sleeves, and the manner of a seasoned professional, knocking the mic against his forehead when particularly ashamed of an easy gag.
From being determined to meeting Daniel Johns at the Newcastle foreshore, to revealing his high school love songs (A Love That Makes The Roses Cry), to being stabbed in the palm of his hand with a scalpel, James' storytelling comes from a place of joy, even as he cocks his finger-gun at an audience member for a Tarantino-style shootout.
